Admission
A degree of difference
By graduation day, 75 percent of the Class of 2006 had accepted jobs, been admitted to graduate or professional schools, or made alternative plans, such as joining Teach for America or traveling internationally on a Fulbright or Watson fellowship. More than 70 percent of those pursuing graduate study were admitted to their first choice school.

Student Employment

Students are often strapped for cash. To help, Rice has opportunities to gain valuable work experience and earn extra income for educational or personal expenses. You can choose to work as little as 10 to 12 hours per week, so studying and extracurricular activities are not compromised.

Rice’s student employment program is run under the Federal Work Study Program or the Rice University Work Program. Jobs are posted continually throughout the semester on the Office of Financial Aid student employment site. Visit the site to review the wide variety of office, internship, and research assistant positions available.
