Money Matters
To illustrate Rice University's commitment to financial assistance for all students:
| • |
Our admission process is need-blind
|
| • |
We meet 100 percent of a student's financial need based on financial aid eligibility
|
| • |
For families with less than $30,000 in total income, we meet all need with grants and work study - no loans
|
| • |
Our graduates go on to graduate school or enter the workforce with less than half the debt of graduates of Ivy League schools
|
Rice administers a need-blind admission process, so your admission to Rice is not influenced by your financial background. We understand, however, that serious consideration of Rice for your undergraduate education will be influenced by the financing options available to you.
Rice University uses its $3.5 billion endowment—one of the largest endowments held by any college or university in the world—to discount tuition for all students. This year's tuition figure of $26,500 is substantially less than that charged by comparable private institutions.
Because every family has a unique set of assets and goals for financing their student's education, each family's aid package and options will be different.
